This week, I started learning how to use Blender.

This image was created fairly simply by just dropping various default shapes into the layout and choosing a color for them, along with a second light.

Creating this character was a little more involved. He's completely composed of cube meshes that have been re-scaled into the appropriate shape, instead of default meshes like the previous image.

In this image, our character gained pupils, hair, a flashlight, and a mouth. Apart from the pupils, all of these additions required editing the meshes instead of simply scaling them. The hair was created by taking a cube object, using a loopcut on it, and dragging one face out. The flashlight was created by extruding additional faces from a cylinder and progressively modifying their scale. The mouth was created by extruding the faces of a single cube in a loop, then fusing the ends together once they met back up.
That's all for this week. I hope to have a more substantial update for you all next week.
