Drawing practice

This week, I worked on practicing my drawing.

The drawings on this paper are practice for constructing faces. There really isn't that much else to say about them.

This is a digital sketch I did of a character I made up some time ago named Sid Inkwell. I drew this to practice getting used to drawing with a tablet instead of using paper and pencil. It was frustrating because it really felt like I had to learn how to draw all over again.

Here's the finished drawing! It's a bit rougher than I would really like, partially because it feels hard to keep a tablet pen steady enough, but also because I made the mistake of darkening the sketch lines too much, which made it difficult to see where I was putting the final lines. For all that though, I don't think this turned out too badly for a first attempt.
