Enemies and Obstacles

This week I added several new enemies to my game as well as a few new pieces of terrain.

The first of the enemies added is the gunwheel, a robot wheel with a machinegun mounted on the side. It acts like a goomba, except that the machinegun tracks the player and fires off a burst of three shots whenever it gets a clear angle on them.

The next enemy is the Zepp, a miniature zeppelin that flies around and damages the player if it hits them. Two more variations are planned, one that drops bombs, and one with a turret mounted on it like the gunwheel.

Moving on from enemies, there a few new platforms. The first is a simple steel beam that lets the player jump and fall through it. The other is a vanishing platform that pops in and out of existence at regular intervals.

Lastly, a wall jump ability has been added for the player. This allows them to slowly slide down and jump off of any vertical surface, which should be very useful.
