This week, I finished my first 3D scene in Blender.

This is the finished version of the blocky man I was working on last week. He is now fully textured, and even has a spot on his flashlight that emits light.
These are progress shots of the other 'character' in the scene, a giant monster that the man has stumbled across while walking alone at night. Like the man, it is also composed of modified cubes. However, all of its parts are mirrored, so it should be perfectly symmetrical, unlike the man, who probably has all kinds of imperfections if one were to look closely enough. Finally, a similar technique to the man's flashlight was used to make the monster's eyes glow red.
These are shots of the full scene while under construction. There isn't really much to say here. Both the man and the monster were imported to this scene, and then the street that they're standing on was constructed around them.

Finally, we have the finished renders! The lighting has been adjusted significantly. Instead of the default light that had been used up to now, there are two spot lights in the scene, in the form of the street light and the flashlight, two point lights for the monster's eyes, and one sun light to set the appropriate ambiance.
Aside from lighting, the backdrop has been changed from the default grey to a deep, dark blue, to make it appear more like night time, and fog has been added to increase the ominous atmosphere of the scene.
That's all for this week! See you next time!
