Another slow week, but I managed to add hands to the model I'm currently working on.
The hands were a little trickier than most of the rest of the model. It wasn't quite as simple as just extruding the relevant faces. There was a lot of use of the knife tool and a lot of the vertices needed pretty drastic tweaking to get things to look right from all angles. For the most part the hand is just a vaguely accurate mitten shape, but it does have the pointer finger modeled separately, just so that the hand can be a little more lifelike when animated.
